Kanban is a simple, yet powerful systems thinking approach that streamlines and improves processes and enhances service delivery agility. This 2-day foundational course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Kanban, and you will get hands-on understanding of designing a Kanban system and initiating change. Learn the concepts of flow, pull and collaborative improvement and identify and address bottlenecks. Understand how to deal with shifting priorities and control work in progress, thereby improving the efficiency of delivery to end users. 

At the end of this course, you will receive a KMP I certificate of course completion from Kanban University (KU) as well as membership of KU. You’ll be able to create a rough prototype of your own Kanban system that you can transfer into your working context.

While there are no prerequisites for this course, we recommend that you have read this book: “Kanban: Successful Evolutionary Change for your Technology Business” by David J. Anderson

Kanban Simulation

Students will be guided to understand concepts through a simulation of a Kanban System. Through interactive, hands-on sessions, they will develop, refine, and use their own Kanban for decision-making and performance improvements.

You can earn up to 16 PDUs and 16 SEUs by attending the 2-day KMP I training program.

The Project Management Institute issues the Professional Development Units (PDUs) and the Scrum Alliance issues the Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) to the candidate after the completion of any certification course. They are given to recognize the participation of the professional and to authenticate the knowledge of the principles and practices taught. To hold your certification from the Scrum Alliance, you should earn a particular number of SEUs every two years. Similarly, to hold your certification from PMI, you should earn a particular number of PDUs every three years.
